Our conscious minds occupy roughly 5 percent of our brains. When we access other parts of our minds and connect with what really inspires us, we create more satisfying outcomes that align with our authentic values and belief systems – who we are on the deepest levels. When we are operating from these states, our actions become more inspired and goals are accomplished with greater ease.
The coaching process typically begins with a personal interview (in person, or by phone) to assess the current individual and/or organizational opportunities and challenges, define the scope of the relationship, identify priorities for action, and establish specific desired outcomes. Between scheduled coaching sessions, the individual may be asked to complete specific actions that support the achievement of one's self-prioritized goals.
A variety of concepts, models and principles drawn from the behavioral sciences, management literature, the client's spiritual traditions and/or the arts and humanities, may be incorporated into the coaching conversation. The coach may provide additional resources in the form of relevant articles, checklists, assessments, or models, to support the individual's thinking and actions. The duration of the coaching relationship varies depending on the organization's objectives or the individual's personal needs and preferences.
Coaching does not need to be done in person to be effective. Many of the most powerful sessions are held remotely, where the client is in their own comfortable environment.
Most importantly, the process is always driven by the client. Our job is to help you achieve what it is that you desire in your own unique way.
